There was a lack of opportunities for artists working outside traditional forms. Sàn Art sought to fill this gap. It offered a space for exhibitions, workshops, and critical dialogue. It became a hub for both local and international artists. It provided resources and connections. Sàn Art even helped artists document their work, ensuring their stories wouldn’t be lost. In its early days, Sàn Art was a small library. It later evolved into a gallery and then a full-fledged organization. Some even call it an institution. Sàn Art has played a significant role in shaping Vietnam’s contemporary art scene. It has fostered a vibrant dialogue within the artistic community. It has encouraged artists to express their ideas more clearly. Sàn Art has even influenced other art spaces and programs in Ho Chi Minh City. Now, Sàn Art is focusing on a new mission.
