It also partners with other like-minded organizations. Together they raise lifelong followers of Jesus. These followers lead by their godliness. They show it in lifestyle and devotion to the Word of God. Prayer is also important. They share the love of Christ. They show commitment to social involvement.
Every day San Antonio Youth for Christ staff and volunteers meet with young people. They meet at community centers and high schools. They also visit middle schools, coffee shops, and local hangouts. These young people need Jesus. San Antonio Youth for Christ is rural and urban. It is always about the message of Jesus.
San Antonio Youth for Christ has several programs. City Life is a holistic community-based program. It helps young people in urban communities. They build relationships with caring adult role models. They learn life skills. City Life provides opportunities for positive peer group experiences. They share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This ministry is growing rapidly. It reaches many youth forgotten by society. But they are never forgotten by God.
Parent Life reaches expectant and parenting teens. It also reaches their children. They build intentional relationships with trained adults. They partner with the community. They empower teens to make good choices. They encourage them to further their education. They move toward independent living. They become life-long followers of Jesus Christ.
Campus Life ministers to high school and middle school youth. It operates on campuses throughout the greater San Antonio area. They hold weekly meetings in homes and churches. They supplement this with camping retreats. Ski trips to Colorado are also offered. Staff and adult volunteers build relationships. They share the life-changing message of Jesus Christ with students. Shared experiences between a student and a supportive adult are indispensable. Campus Life focuses on relationships not programs. It helps students as they wrestle with issues. They pursue a balanced life mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially. Campus Life meets students where they are. It helps them navigate these years.
San Antonio Youth for Christ aims to grow its ministry. They want to reach unchurched students. These are students in desperate need of Christ’s restorative love. They have established ways for individuals and organizations to join them. Ministry to students is unique to every community.
Mentoring is a natural trait of San Antonio Youth for Christ Volunteers. Making disciples is what they are called to do. It’s as basic as being a friend. Be faithful and be present. If you say you will do something, then do it. Get trained and empowered to become a mentor. Mentor a youth in need of a friend.
San Antonio Youth for Christ is a local extension of Youth For Christ USA. They create engaging experiences for youth. They build authentic Christ-sharing relationships.
