Established amidst the 10/40 Window it faced initial hurdles. Setting up an Adventist presence in Cambodia wasn’t easy. However the church’s growth shows God’s perfect timing. On August 31st a historic milestone was reached. It became a fully functioning congregation. This achievement reflects the dedication of leaders and members. It is a major breakthrough for the Adventist mission in this area.

The church’s impact extends beyond its walls. Members actively reach out to tourists and the local Buddhist population. They share their faith fostering meaningful connections. Seyha Penn a dedicated layman exemplifies this outreach. He uses tourism as an opportunity to share the Gospel. He invites both locals and tourists to fellowship at the church. He shows that God is with them offering blessings healing and hope.

The church isn’t just about formal services. Worship begins at 8:00 am on Saturdays. Sabbath School follows around 10:00 am. On most Sabbaths three services run simultaneously. There’s one for the main congregation youth and children. Visitors are welcome to join a lunch afterward. Friday evenings feature a special service with English songs and a Khmer devotional. It starts around sundown.

A particularly memorable event occurred on May 29 2004. Twenty-five people were baptized at Wat Preah Yesu. This marked the fruits of the SALT Ministries Church Planting work. Over 50 others committed their lives to Jesus. This event underscored the church’s growing influence and outreach.
