Pastor Jasper Williams Jr’s arrival in 1963 marked a new era. His electrifying sermons earned him the title “Son of Thunder”. Membership tripled under his leadership. He oversaw the construction of a large brick sanctuary. The church moved to its current location on Baker Road.
Pastor Williams Jr’s vision extended beyond the church walls. He implemented numerous social programs. These included welfare assistance a daycare center and housing for the elderly.
