Weekly worship is a cornerstone of St. Michael’s. Services are held both in person and online. On Sundays, there’s a Holy Eucharist at 7:45 a.m. This service is in the church only. Another Holy Eucharist takes place at 10 a.m. It is held in the church and online. Nursery is available for children from 9:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. Children’s worship is offered every Sunday for ages 3 to fifth grade. Weekday services include Morning Prayer at 7:45 a.m. and Noonday Prayer at 12 p.m. On Saturdays, Morning Prayer is at 9 a.m. It is online only through Sept. 2024. The church is open for prayer and reflection Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

St. Jude’s Chapel was once a segregated mission. It was administered by St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. Sadly, urban renewal led to the chapel’s destruction in 1957. The congregation was then dispersed. The original chapel was located at 19 E 99th Street.

St. Jude is known as the patron saint of hopeless causes. Danny Thomas founded St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He credited St. Jude with reviving his career. Thomas promised to do something big if St. Jude helped him. The hospital was his act of gratitude. A relic of St. Jude, bone fragments, toured the United States in 2024. Father Carlos Martins directed the tour.

St. Jude Thaddeus was a cousin of Jesus Christ. He was the son of Mary of Clopas. He was martyred around the year 65. His body was buried in Beirut. His remains were later moved to Rome. They rest below the main altar of St. Peter’s Basilica.
