Saint Martin’s Catholic Church

It arose from the union of three Philadelphia parishes: Most Precious Blood of Our Lord, Saint Columba, and Saint Elizabeth. This consolidation, occurring on July 1, 1993, created a new entity while inheriting the rich tapestry of its predecessors. Saint Martin’s became the keeper of sacramental records not just for its founding parishes but also for Corpus Christi and St. Mary of the Eternal, weaving together the spiritual threads of North Philadelphia’s Catholic community. The church’s namesake, Saint Martin de Porres, is a guiding light for the congregation. Known for his unwavering devotion to both the Church and social justice, he inspires Saint Martin’s to serve its community. This dedication is evident in their vibrant Sunday Mass and the various sacraments offered. Beyond the church walls, the spirit of Saint Martin’s extends to its collaboration with Saint Martin de Porres Catholic School, an independent institution educating over 450 students under the leadership of the Sisters of Saint Joseph.
