Run by the Jesuit fathers of the Rwanda-Burundi region, Saint Ignatius High School, or SIHS, is steeped in a rich tradition. Its foundation is the Ignatian pedagogy, a system of education that has thrived for over 400 years. Saint Ignatius High School is dedicated to providing a holistic education. It emphasizes not only academic excellence but also the development of well-rounded individuals. The school instills values of Magis (excellence), mutual respect, and solidarity in its students. At Saint Ignatius High School, every student benefits from individualized support, known as cura personalis, provided by a dedicated and qualified staff. Since its establishment in 2012, the school has experienced remarkable growth. Its student body has more than doubled from 133 students to 317 students in 2017. Saint Ignatius High School offers both Ordinary level and three Advanced level sections. These are MCB (Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology), MCE (Mathematics-Computer Science-Economics), and MPC (Mathematics-Physics-Computer Science). Behind the success of Saint Ignatius High School is a dedicated team. This team comprises 24 teachers, 15 support staff, and 7 administrative officers.
