It even had boarding facilities! Established in 1906, the school was the brainchild of Pauline Gannon. She was a Dominican Sister who envisioned a place where young women could receive a rigorous education rooted in faith. Saint Agnes Academy was originally located on Fannin Street in what is now considered Midtown Houston. The school thrived in this location for several decades. In 1963, Saint Agnes Academy made a significant move to its current location on Bellaire Boulevard. This relocation marked a new chapter in the school’s history. It transitioned to a high school, serving grades nine through twelve. However, the commitment to academic excellence and the nurturing spirit remained.
