Brimming with devotion, Sai Mandir stands as a testament to faith. Sai Baba Mandir is one of Delhi’s oldest temples. It is located on Lodhi Road near Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Let’s step inside this revered place. Sai Baba Temple is a beautiful sacred space. The idols of deities leave devotees spellbound. Though simple from the outside, the temple is majestic inside. It provides a tranquil escape from the city’s hustle.

Shirdi Sai Baba, a renowned saint, inspired this temple. Born on October 15th, 1918, he became a spiritual guru. He preached love, forgiveness, and charity. Sai Baba emphasized unity between Hindus and Muslims. He drew wisdom from the Quran and Bhagavad Gita. He lived in a Mosque and was buried in a Temple.

In 1972, the Sai Baba community realized their dream. They built a memorial to honor Shirdi Sai Baba. Bhag Chand Taneja and Krishan Chand Dhawan assisted with the construction. R. S. Sharma, S. C. Gupta, and M. M. Lal also helped. The foundation stone was laid in August 1972.

The main hall of Sai Baba Mandir has air conditioning. A golden crown adorns the main statue. Devotees offer a chadar, flowers, and sweets. Thursdays draw large crowds. Food is distributed to the poor and beggars.

The Sai Baba Mandir is easily accessible. It lies on a busy junction of Lodhi Road. One can experience Kakad Aarti, Noon Aarti, Shej Aarti, and Dhoop Aarti every day.

Visiting Sai Baba Mandir offers a spiritual experience. The walls and idols shine with gold. The floor glows with marble. The temple opens at 5:00 AM and closes at 11:00 PM. Entry is free.

Nearby attractions include Lodhi Garden and Humayun’s Tomb. They all lie within a short distance of Sai Baba Mandir.

Remember Sai Baba’s message of unity. As you leave Sai Baba Mandir, carry peace in your heart.
