This magnificent English Gothic chapel isn’t just a building. It’s a living legacy. Mother Florence Walter Superior General of the Congregation of Divine Providence from 1886 to 1925 dreamt of it for years. Her dream finally took shape beginning construction on October 17 1921. Architect Leo Dielmann and contractor A Fuessel brought her vision to life.
The Sacred Heart Conventual Chapel wasn’t built overnight. It took countless hours of dedicated work and considerable sacrifice from the Sisters of Divine Providence. Their commitment transformed this space into a place of profound spiritual significance. The chapel is deeply meaningful to the Sisters of Divine Providence. It’s also a beloved gathering space for Our Lady of the Lake University Providence Catholic School and St Martin Hall. Thousands gather here for important events.
The Moye Feast Day Mass the first Sunday of May is a particularly special occasion. The Jubilee Mass usually held in June before the General Assembly is another.
