Established in 2000 RMIT University Vietnam stands as a testament to international collaboration. It’s the first fully foreign-owned university in Vietnam. This pioneering institution boasts a rich history. RMIT’s presence began with an invitation from the Vietnamese government in 1998. They sought to establish a world-class university. RMIT answered the call.

Initially located in a beautifully restored 19th-century French colonial building. Students affectionately nicknamed it ‘the Castle’. It’s on Pham Ngoc Thach Street in District 3. The university quickly outgrew this charming space. A modern purpose-built campus opened in 2005. This is in the Phu My Hung area of District 7. This impressive campus features state-of-the-art facilities. It includes a recreation complex and residential centers. It’s a hub for students from Vietnam and around the globe.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung personally awarded a Certificate of Merit. This was in recognition of RMIT’s significant impact on Vietnam’s social and economic development.
