Fellow travelers welcome to Riverview Evangelical Free Church. This isn’t just a building it’s a vibrant community. A family of 1400 churches united by faith. Riverview is part of this global family. They share a commitment to serve Jesus Christ guided by the Holy Spirit and God’s Word.
Riverview’s mission is simple love God love others. This isn’t just lip service. It’s evident in their actions. They support 25 missionaries worldwide. Closer to home they have a unique loft-house ministry. They build house components in their parking lot. Then they transport these to Ensenada Mexico. There they give the houses to people living in cardboard boxes. These are acts of incredible generosity.
Pastor Mel Svendsen once shared his perspective. He stressed the importance of understanding Jesus’ sacrifice. He emphasized that good works alone aren’t enough. True Christianity involves believing in Jesus’ atonement for our sins. He was concerned about compromises of the Gospel message. He believed that compromising the truth is doing no one any favors.
Riverview offers various ministries. There are groups for children youth young adults men women singles widows and widowers. Home groups provide spiritual support. There are also counseling services volunteer opportunities and biblical counseling using the Bible’s principles. They offer programs such as Refuge 12 Step Ladies 12 Step Grief Share and a Feeding America food distribution.
Riverview embodies a spirit of generosity. Their commitment to financial stewardship reflects their belief. Their actions show a devotion to serving others.
