On December 9, 1971, the Rhein-Neckar-Stadion first opened its gates to football enthusiasts. The roar of the crowd that day must have been electrifying. This stadium, with a capacity of 8,000, is home to the Oberliga team VfR Mannheim. It stands proudly alongside the Carl-Benz-Stadion, home to their local rivals SV Waldhof Mannheim.
