Since 1965 the Rathmines Gospel Hall has stood on the corner of Frankfort Avenue and Upper Rathmines Road. It’s a simple building but its history is rich. The Rathmines Gospel Hall isn’t just a place of worship it’s a community hub. For over fifty years it has served as a gathering place for Christians in Rathmines. The hall’s ministry is based solely on the Bible. Members believe the Gospel is the good news of God’s love. This love is for all who accept Christ as their savior.
The Rathmines Gospel Hall follows the teachings of the Bible closely. They hold regular meetings including Lord’s Supper on Sundays. Sunday school is held during school term times. They also have a Gospel Meeting and a Tuesday prayer meeting and Bible study. The hall warmly welcomes visitors. Those from similar assemblies are asked to bring a letter from their home assembly. All others are welcome to observe. For many years regular meetings have been held in the hall itself.
However more recently due to the Covid-19 pandemic many meetings were held online via Zoom. This allowed the community to continue their fellowship remotely. The Gospel Hall’s website and social media pages helped keep the community connected. The hall’s leadership is headed by Minister Mr Elton Fairfield. He and other leaders guide the congregation in their faith. The hall’s location makes it easily accessible. It sits at a convenient junction making it a landmark in the Rathmines area.
