“A warm welcome awaits you at the Ramsey Seventh-Day Adventist Church” Pastor Shasha Gabriel Mugari greeted me. The Ramsey Seventh-Day Adventist Church isn’t just a building it’s a vibrant hub for the community. Located on Waterloo Road it serves around 85 people. Average attendance hovers between 50 and 60 a mix of adults youth and children. This is more than a place of worship. It’s a community center offering toddler groups children’s clubs and youth gatherings. The church provides space for individual counseling. There’s even a community fridge initiative in partnership with the local co-op. Warm spaces and daytime drop-ins are also available. These initiatives benefit both the church and the wider Ramsey community. The church initially planned a seven-year lease for Commerce House on Bowring Road. However they now reside at their current location on Waterloo Road. The Ramsey Seventh-Day Adventist Church offers a Wednesday Midweek service at 7 PM and Friday Vespers at 7 PM. On Sabbath Saturday there’s a prayer garden session followed by Sabbath School Bible study for all ages. Divine service begins at 11:45 AM. The AYF or Pathfinder Club meets at 3 PM. Services are conducted in English Tagalog Afrikaans and Shona. The church is part of the North England Conference British Union Conference and the Trans-European Division. The Ramsey Seventh-Day Adventist Church is more than a place of worship. It’s a testament to community spirit faith and outreach in Ramsey Isle of Man.
