Welcome to the North Bangkok Campus of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon. This campus is one of five that make up RMUTP. The university’s story began on February 27 1975. It started with the Vocational Education and Technology College Act.

The aim was clear. Thailand needed vocational teachers with bachelor’s degrees. They would teach at vocational, undergraduate, and advanced levels. The Act also pushed for vocational research and community technical services. Over time the college honed its teaching produced skilled graduates and served society well.

A significant turning point arrived on September 15 1988. HM the King bestowed a new name. It became known as the Rajamangala Institute of Technology. This marked a new chapter.

The National Education Act of 1999 brought further change. It aimed to decentralize education management. Institutes gained independence under their own councils. Rajamangala Institute of Technology adapted. They amended their governing law.

HM the King signed the Rajamangala University of Technology Act on January 8 2005. It was announced in the Royal Gazette ten days later. It took effect on January 19 2005. This combined campuses nationwide into nine universities. These universities form the Rajamangala University of Technology system.

These nine universities include RMUT Thanyaburi and RMUT Krungthep. Also in the system are RMUT Tawan-ok RMUT Phra Nakhon RMUT Rattanakosin RMUT Lanna RMUT Srivijaya RMUT Suvarnabhumi and RMUT Isarn. The goal was to create science and technology universities. They would offer advanced vocational training at various levels. This accommodated vocational students and community college graduates.

RMUT Phra Nakhon comprises five campuses. These are Thewes Campus Chotiwet Campus and Bangkok Commercial Campus. The other two are Chumporn Khet Udom Sak Campus and this North Bangkok Campus.

RMUTP provides programs in diverse fields. These include Industrial Education Home Economics Technology and Mass Communication Technology. You can also study Business Administration Science and Technology and Engineering here. Applied Arts Architecture and Design and Textile Industry and Fashion Design are available. These are offered at advanced vocational certificate and undergraduate levels. RMUTP also offers graduate programs. These are in Business Administration Industrial Education and Home Economics Technology.

Currently RMUTP has over 13000 students. The university continues to evolve. It adapts to the needs of its students and community. It remains dedicated to providing quality vocational education. This campus is a vital part of that mission.
