“Craving art that speaks to the soul?” Here at the Riverdale Art Association RAA, artistic expression thrives.

The Riverdale Art Association RAA, established in 1999, began as a vision shared by a small group of artists. They wanted a space to show their work, sell their pieces, and share artistic knowledge. These founders initially gathered in each other’s homes. There they discovered each other’s artistic talents.

The Riverdale Art Association RAA was established to hold monthly business meetings with visiting artists. Trips to museums became regular events, and artists explored the community. They sketched, painted, and photographed the surrounding areas.

Elected officials and established bylaws formalized the Riverdale Art Association RAA. Committees formed to manage various activities of the association. These committees planned and facilitated exhibitions. Membership, exhibition, publicity, sponsorship, and trips were managed by the committees.

This structure allowed the Riverdale Art Association RAA to open its doors. It welcomed talented artists from all media and stages of development. The Riverdale Art Association RAA has showcased art in various locations. These include Apple Bank, Sterling Glen at Forest Hills, and The Riverdale Neighborhood House.

Other venues include The Elizabeth Seton Library of the College of Mount Saint Vincent and Manhattan College. The Riverdale and Midtown Manhattan Atrias have also hosted exhibitions. The Riverdale YM/YWHA, the Bronx Borough President’s Office, and Cabrini Nursing Home, too. Even Billy’s Gallery and the Ginger Grill Restaurant have displayed works from the RAA.

The Riverdale Art Association RAA makes art accessible. The annual membership fee is just $30. The exhibition fee for shows is $15. Student membership is even more affordable at $20.

You will find the Riverdale Art Association RAA at 3718 Henry Hudson Parkway. Here, art is more than just a visual experience. It is a community. It is a shared passion. It is an ever-evolving journey. The Riverdale Art Association RAA welcomes you to immerse yourself in its creative spirit.
