“A transit point for missionaries,” that’s what comes to mind when I think of Quarters Assembly. But it is so much more than that. It is a hub of faith and community. Quarters Assembly stands before us. It is a testament to the enduring power of belief.
The Missions Transit Quarters are located on Oleander Street in East Legon. The building previously served as the official residence of the International Missions Director. That was until 2006. It then transformed into a transit quarters. Missionaries and National Heads found a temporary home here.
The original structure gradually deteriorated. The Missions Board approved a complete demolition. A new building would rise in its place. Construction began in February 2017. It finished in August 2018. Today we see the result of that transformation.
The new building boasts about 20 en suite rooms in the main house. There are also two conference halls and a kitchen. A parking area accommodates 20 cars. All rooms provide full furnishings. Wi-Fi access ensures internet connectivity. Quarters Assembly offers modern amenities.
