Ready to discover one of Frankfurt’s architectural highlights? We are standing before Q2, part of the Forum Frankfurt complex. Q2 is located at Platz der Einheit 1. This area sits in Frankfurt’s dynamic Europaviertel. It is near the banking district.

Did you know Q2 is part of a pair? It was constructed alongside the Pollux building. The two were originally marketed together as Forum Frankfurt. These towers were named after the Dioscuri in Greek mythology. Those twins were Castor and Pollux. The whole complex was completed in 1997.

Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, a New York firm, designed Q2 and Pollux. NHT + Partner GbR helped bring the design to life. Schindler provided the elevators for both buildings. The construction of Forum Frankfurt cost around 850 million Deutsche Mark. Both towers use a combined pile-raft foundation. Today, these towers mark the southern gateway to the Europaviertel.

Q2 stands 95 meters tall. It has 23 floors above ground. The gross floor area is 30389 square meters. Q2 offers open skyline views. It is easily accessible. The location has short routes to the city center. It also has quick access to the main train station and the A5 motorway. The building complex was extensively modernized in 2023 and 2024.

Q2 holds sustainability certifications. It has WiredScore Platinum and LEED Platinum. Alstria’s Low Carbon Design principles guided the renovations. This reduced energy consumption by 30-50%. Q2 supports green mobility. There is a bicycle hub. It includes e-charging stations and sanitary facilities. You will also find parking spaces for cargo bikes. Electric charging stations are available too.

The renovation updated the building technology. This includes air conditioning and elevator systems. Access control and LED lighting were improved. The reception desk is staffed around the clock. There are 347 parking spaces in the underground garage.

Office spaces are designed for efficiency. Each space has individually controlled air conditioning. It uses 100% fresh air supply. Raised floors allow for flexible room planning. CAT cabling is installed. Suspended acoustic ceilings feature integrated LED lighting. Internal electric blinds control sunlight. High-quality carpeting covers the floors. The technical building equipment meets the latest standards.

Q2’s location is very convenient. The tram and subway are a minute away on foot. Frankfurt’s main train station is an 8-minute walk. The A5 motorway is a 5-minute drive. Frankfurt Airport is 15 minutes by car.

The building offers energy and mobility solutions for the future. This includes electric mobility and barrier-free access. It also features a modern parking concept. Sustainable architecture and high-quality technical standards make Q2 an attractive location.

High connectivity is a key feature. The building has first-class digital telecommunications infrastructure. Lighting adjusts to daylight. Flexible expansion options support new work concepts.

Platz der Einheit 1 is centrally located. It is one of Frankfurt’s most dynamic areas. The location is near the MesseTurm, Tower 185, and ONE skyscrapers. It is also close to the planned Millennium area.

Christian Herdeg’s “Synergy” light sculpture stands in the green space. It is in front of Q2 at Platz der Einheit. An oval fountain surrounds the sculpture. The water reflection enhances its effect. The light installation expresses the interplay of space, light, and time.

The former headquarters of Deutsche Bundesbahn stood where Q2 and Pollux are now. The DB headquarters included two high-rise buildings. They were demolished in 1994.

Q2 combines modern architecture with sustainability. Its central location makes it a prime Frankfurt address.
