Standing tall on 5 acres of land, the Promised Land Church is a beacon of faith in San Antonio. It wasn’t always this grand though. The story of this church is one of humble beginnings and unwavering dedication. In 2001, Pastor Juan and Aurora Alonso, driven by their strong faith, decided to start their ministry. They began in their own home, sharing their faith with whomever they could. The Lord blessed their efforts. Years later, the church moved to a permanent building on Chavanneaux. They then moved to the current location on SE Loop 410 in 2001. The church has grown, but their mission has stayed the same – spreading the word of God. Today, the church serves hundreds of people. They offer a wide range of classes, built a gym for youth engagement, and have expanded their ministry to include more than 200 fellowships throughout San Antonio. The Promised Land Church is more than just a building. It’s a place where people find community, guidance, and love within the embrace of God.
