“By scripture alone, by faith alone, by grace alone” – these words encapsulate the heart of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Here at Everton Park, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church stands not just as a building but as a community. It’s a place where faith intertwines with daily life.
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church has deep roots. It is closely linked to Prince of Peace Lutheran College. The college actually has two campuses. The Junior Campus is on Rogers Parade. The Senior Campus is about a kilometer away.
The Junior Campus benefits greatly from its connection to the church. They use the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for worship services. This creates a strong bond between the congregation and the students. Even small gestures, like the church providing lunch for Year 12 students during exams, strengthen this connection.
Christian values are central to life at Prince of Peace. The Lutheran perspective shapes their worship and studies. Short daily devotions and worship services are common. The emphasis is on God’s love. It welcomes families of all denominations. It also welcomes those with no set faith. What matters is an appreciation of the college’s mission.
Christian Studies is a key part of the curriculum from Prep to Year 12. Christian values are lived out daily. Students engage in faith-based activities. Daily devotion starts each day. Younger students might hear a prayer, story, or song. Senior students lead devotions in Pastoral Care classes. Even staff members start their day with devotion.
Worship happens twice a week at each campus of Prince of Peace Lutheran College. Students actively participate. Joint student and staff worship bands provide music. Parents are always welcome to attend. A separate communion service is held once a term. It takes place in the outdoor worship area. It is for those students who choose to attend.
The Prince of Peace Lutheran Church also offers ways to gather outside of Sunday worship. They host trivia nights. These include puzzle games and a chance to become “PoP Champion.” Teams can dress up according to a theme. Dinner and drinks are provided.
The church plays a vital role. It is located at 20 Rogers Parade West, Everton Park. You can contact them by phone or email. Office hours are Monday to Thursday.
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is more than just a place of worship. It’s a vibrant community. It nurtures faith. It connects generations. It lives out its values every day. It is a beacon of faith in Everton Park.
