Contemplate this. What if your Vegas experience involved no gambling and no smoke? Welcome to the Platinum. It is a condo hotel that offers a unique experience just a block away from the Las Vegas Strip.

The Platinum’s story began in 1974 as the Highlander 6 Inn motel. It later became a Comfort Inn before turning into an Econo Lodge by 2001. Michael Peterson purchased the land in 2003 and envisioned something grander.

In 2003, the Clark County Commission approved plans for a 24-story condo hotel. This project faced initial opposition. Concerns arose about traffic and obstructed views from nearby Park Towers. Developers reduced the project’s size and adjusted its location to appease residents.

Construction of the Platinum began in 2005. It was a joint venture between Marcus Hotels and Resorts and Diversified Real Estate Concepts, LLC. The Platinum quickly sold out all its units in just 39 days. The 17-story tower topped out on December 15, 2005.

The Platinum opened its doors on October 25, 2006. It cost $120 million to construct. It featured 255 units. The Platinum offered amenities such as a fitness center, spa, and rooftop terrace. It quickly became one of the first condo hotels near the Strip.

In 2009, the Platinum faced legal challenges. Buyers alleged contract breaches. They claimed the companies failed to market their units for rental. The lawsuits were eventually settled in March 2013. Marcus paid out $3 million.

Today, the Platinum stands as a luxurious non-gaming retreat. It is just steps from the Strip. The Platinum offers spacious suites with full kitchens. It has indoor and outdoor heated pools. It features a gym and spa.

Each unit is designed with contemporary aesthetics. Expect stainless steel appliances and updated fixtures. Enjoy stunning views of the desert sunset. The Platinum offers peace and quiet away from the typical Vegas chaos.

Platinum Condo Hotel offers a unique green approach. It has energy-saving technologies. Low-energy lighting is found throughout the hotel. Motion sensors and eco-friendly thermostats are installed in each suite.

Whether you seek a peaceful getaway or a convenient location near the action, the Platinum awaits. It offers a unique blend of luxury and tranquility. Its story is one of transformation and adaptation. It is a testament to Vegas’s ever-evolving landscape.
