Emile Krieger was a member of the Renè Canta group. He was a dedicated member of the French Forces of the Interior FFI and FTPF. Born in Sarreinsming on November 20, 1890, Krieger’s life took a dramatic turn during the Second World War.

The plaque’s unveiling was a poignant event. On Thursday, January 11, 2018 the anniversary of Emile Krieger’s death, the plaque was revealed. A ceremony and tribute were held at the Villa Paradiso. Students from the Arènes de Cimiez school attended. Historians Michel Goury, Stéphane Morabito and Véronique Thuin were present. Jean-Louis Panicacci, President of the Museum of Resistance also attended.
