This majestic rock is the remains of a dike that once connected Bartolomé to nearby Santiago Island. The erosion over time has exposed this impressive rock formation. The rock is also home to a colony of Galapagos penguins, the only penguins found north of the equator. They are known for their playful nature and are often seen waddling on the rocky beaches at the base of the rock.
