Now under the leadership of Reverend Robert Paul its fifth pastor. He and his wife have poured their hearts into this church. They’ve expanded it. They’ve made it even more impactful in the lives of its members.
Reverend Paul and his wife have been married for 53 years. They’ve been leading Piney Grove for 33 years. They’ve added two daycare buildings. They’ve also added a rental property. That has helped the church grow immensely. The church is also located right across the street from Logan Elementary School. A daycare is conveniently situated next to the church.
Even the pandemic couldn’t stop Piney Grove. They adapted. They held services online. They even held a unique funeral service in the schoolyard. They followed social distancing guidelines. This innovative approach allowed them to continue supporting their community. Even during challenging times their membership grew.
The church members are incredibly loyal and supportive. Cindy Davis a member for 17 years is a testament to that. She watches services online. She relies on the teachings of the church to navigate life’s challenges. This church offers pre-recorded sermons. This allows members to hear the word at their convenience.
Reverend Paul emphasizes the importance of community. Piney Grove is a community church. It has a benevolent heart. It helps its members in any way possible. This help isn’t just spiritual. The church also provides financial assistance. Reverend Paul’s commitment extends beyond the church. He’s also a recruiting officer for a local union. The union relies on Piney Grove for school supplies.
Sister Joyce Paul Reverend Paul’s wife is also a vital part of the church. She is the administrative coordinator. She’s also the chairperson for the Sisterhood Fellowship. She has a card ministry. She sends out cards and small gifts. She does this to support the women of her church. She believes in the power of the word of God.
