Founded in 1993 in San Antonio, the Pilgrim Center of Hope began as a humble door-to-door ministry. It answered Pope John Paul II’s call for a “New Evangelization.” The goal was to inspire an inner transformation, empowering Christians to share the Gospel effectively. The Pilgrim Center of Hope sought to guide the faithful in living and sharing their beliefs. Today, the Pilgrim Center of Hope has blossomed into a vibrant hub, reaching thousands every month. The center offers a sanctuary for prayer and reflection. It boasts a chapel with the Blessed Sacrament for adoration. It has a peaceful Prayer Garden. There are also outdoor Stations of the Cross, inviting contemplation and spiritual growth. The Pilgrim Center of Hope recognizes the power of modern media. It strives to make the message of faith engaging and accessible, as encouraged by Pope Francis. The center publishes articles in the San Antonio Express-News and Today’s Catholic newspaper. It also produces a weekly program, Journeys of Hope, broadcast on Guadalupe Radio Network and available as a podcast. A weekly blog, the Pilgrim Log, provides further spiritual nourishment. The Pilgrim Center of Hope organizes Catholic Women’s, Men’s, and Seniors’ Conferences. These events offer opportunities for fellowship, learning, and spiritual enrichment. For over 25 years, the center has also led pilgrimages to significant religious sites.
