Piaoli is located in northwestern Longsheng. It shares borders with several regions. It carves its path from west to southeast.

Several villages contribute to Piaoli’s unique character. Dayun, Jiaozhou, Liuman, Silong, Meidong and Menghua are home to a high concentration of Zhuang people.

Farming and ranching primarily support Piaoli’s economy. Also its grounds are rich in mineral resources. Manganese and quartz deposits lie beneath the surface.
