Phường Thường Tín is more than just a place on a map. It’s a vibrant blend of history industry and modern development. Once part of Đống Đa district it officially joined Thanh Xuân in 1997. This happened thanks to Decree 74 ND-CP. That decree reorganized Hanoi’s administrative divisions.
Imagine the area’s transformation. From its humble beginnings as a collection of villages. It’s now a hub of activity. Major roadways like Nguyễn Trãi and Vành đai 2 elevated road crisscross the area. They connect Phường Thường Tín to the wider city seamlessly. Yet smaller streets like Giáp Nhật Cự Lộc and Chính Kinh can become congested during peak hours. These streets show a different side to Phường Thường Tín. A slower more local rhythm.
The population density is impressively high. In 2022 over 28000 people called this 0 67 square kilometer area home. That is 42010 people per square kilometer. That’s a lot of neighbours.
Phường Thường Tín is also home to numerous large companies. The Sao Vàng Rubber Company Thăng Long Tobacco and Hanoi Airport are all nearby. They contribute to a large and diverse workforce. Many workers and students live in the area. Two prominent universities add to the energy. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Natural Sciences are here.
Security is a top priority. The high concentration of industrial areas and people means the area gets close monitoring. 24/7 patrols are common. Almost every household has security cameras. Major thoroughfares especially are well-lit and patrolled.
For leisure and entertainment. Phường Thường Tín has a lot to offer. Thường Tín Park is a green oasis. It’s perfect for relaxation and outdoor activities. Modern shopping centers cater to residents’ needs. They provide everything from department stores to trendy boutiques and restaurants. Children’s playgrounds and sports centers further enhance the quality of life.
The real estate market here is robust. Experts describe it as stable. Transactions are concentrated along Giáp Nhật Chính Kinh and Cự Lộc streets. Demand for commercial and office spaces is particularly high along Nguyễn Trãi and Thường Tín itself. Luxury high-rise developments like Royal City Thường Tín Plaza and Vinhomes Smart City showcase modern architecture. They offer upscale living to their residents.
