Established in 2005 Phường Thanh Khê Tây is a fascinating ward. It’s located in Thanh Khê District Da Nang Vietnam. Phường Thanh Khê Tây’s history is deeply rooted in the area. Phường Thanh Khê Tây has a rich past. During the Cham era it was Cham territory. During the Lý and Trần dynasties it was known as Thanh Khê. It was part of Southern O Châu. The name references a green stream now the Phú Lộc River. This ward has been a blend of Champa and Vietnamese cultures. In the Nguyễn dynasty it was known as Thanh Khê and part of Toran.

From 1954 to 1970 it was called Thanh Khê Quarter. It was part of Da Nang. From 1970 to 2005 it belonged to Phường Thanh Lộc. This shows its evolution. Phường Thanh Khê Tây’s eastern economic zone thrives. It’s located on the Điện Biên Phủ road. This road is near the Huế intersection.

In 1992 it transformed after ending state subsidies. People began trading freely. There was growth in iron and steel. The Bạch Đằng Machine Factory is here. So is Thanh Phú Company. Wastewater treatment is also significant. It has a rich cultural heritage. It’s considered a prestigious land area. It has traditional celebrations. These include Tết Nguyên Đán Tết Đoan Ngọ.
