“Where exactly is Long Bình Tân?” I asked myself. Long Bình Tân is a ward in Biên Hòa city. Biên Hòa is in Đồng Nai province Vietnam.
Long Bình Tân is south of Biên Hòa city. It sits beside the Đồng Nai River. The city center is about 7 km away. Two major national routes pass through it. These are National Route 1 and National Route 51.
To the east Long Bình Tân borders Long Bình and Phước Tân wards. To the west it borders Long Bình ward. It also borders Thủ Đức city which is part of Ho Chi Minh City. Bình Thắng ward of Dĩ An city in Bình Dương province is also to the west. The Đồng Nai River forms this western boundary.
An Hòa ward and Long Hưng commune are to the south. To the north lies An Bình ward. Long Bình Tân covers 11.44 square kilometers. In 2017 the population was 57427 people. The population density was 5020 people per square kilometer.
There is an island in the Đồng Nai River called Cù lao Ba Xê. Long Bình Tân is divided into seven residential areas. These are 1 2 3 3A Bình Dương Long Điềm and Thái Hòa.
Previously Long Bình Tân was divided into six areas. On December 29 2016 Đồng Nai province’s People’s Committee issued Decision 4547. This created residential area 3A from part of area 3. Long Bình Tân a place of change and growth continues to evolve.
