But time marched on and on November 22 1996 everything changed. Phường Khương Đình was transferred to the newly formed Thanh Xuân district. It was also split into two wards Hài Định and itself.
This seemingly quiet place holds a dramatic history. In September 2023 tragedy struck. A devastating fire ripped through a nine-story microapartment building. Fifty-six lives were lost.
