Amidst the vibrant tapestry of Ho Chi Minh City, a hidden gem awaits discovery: Phường Bình Nhậm. This unassuming ward, nestled within the bustling Thuận An City in Bình Dương Province, holds a captivating story waiting to be unveiled. Phường Bình Nhậm’s tale begins in 1994, when it was carved from a portion of the existing Lãi Thiêu commune. Originally part of Thuận An district, Phường Bình Nhậm transitioned to the newly formed Thuận An town in 2011. This marked a significant step in its journey toward becoming the ward we know today. The final transformation occurred on December 29, 2013, when Phường Bình Nhậm officially became a ward. This was thanks to Resolution 136/NQ-CP, which solidified its status and set the stage for its future growth. Phường Bình Nhậm encompasses a modest 5.43 square kilometers. Yet, within this area, a community of over 21,000 people thrives, contributing to the rich cultural mosaic of the region. The ward is further divided into four distinct khu phố: Bình Hòa, Bình Phước, Bình Thuận, and Bình Đức. Each khu phố adds its own unique flavor to Phường Bình Nhậm’s identity. Beyond its administrative structure, Phường Bình Nhậm boasts a vibrant social scene. Education plays a vital role, with schools like Bình Nhậm Primary School, Nguyễn Trường Tộ Secondary School, and Tân Thới Secondary School nurturing young minds. The ward’s commitment to education is evident in its investment in school infrastructure. One notable example is the construction of Nguyễn Trường Tộ Secondary School, completed in 2018. Phường Bình Nhậm, while seemingly ordinary at first glance, reveals a compelling narrative of growth, transformation, and community spirit. Its story is a testament to the resilience and dynamism that defines Ho Chi Minh City and its surrounding areas.
