The old bridge became unsafe. A new bridge was built. It opened in September 2023. The new Long Kieng Bridge is a modern structure. It provides safer passage for commuters. It is 318 meters long with 661 meters of approach roads. Phuoc Kien Commune today benefits from improved transportation. The new bridge facilitates travel and trade.
