That year a truck carrying rocks collapsed the old Long Kieng Bridge. The truck and several motorbikes plunged into the river. Local residents remember the chaos and fear. The old bridge became unsafe. A new bridge was built. It opened in September 2023. The new Long Kieng Bridge is a modern structure. It provides safer passage for commuters. It is 318 meters long with 661 meters of approach roads. Phuoc Kien Commune today benefits from improved transportation. The new bridge facilitates travel and trade. The story of the old Long Kieng Bridge remains a local legend. It is a reminder of both past challenges and present progress in Phuoc Kien Commune.
