Phnom Penh International University

Established in 2002, Phnom Penh International University (PPIU), formerly known as ASEAN University, has become symbolic of the educational landscape in Cambodia. It is a private, for-profit university, the only one in the country to receive the SHARE Institutional Assessment of the EU-SHARE program in 2018. This recognition signifies a commitment to global standards and academic excellence. The university boasts four faculties. These include Business and Tourism, Laws and Economics, Education Science, and Science and IT. PPIU offers a post-graduate program, encompassing Master’s degrees and PhDs. The university also supports a Vocational Training Center, providing valuable skills for students seeking alternative pathways. PPIU has a history of adapting to change. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, the university seamlessly shifted its learning methods, introducing online educational programs. Its online education was even recognized by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport for its commitment. PPIU has dedicated lecturers, many with years of experience, and it provides facilities such as spacious classrooms, computer labs, and audio labs. It also boasts a modern library with e-Library access, allowing students to delve into the vast world of knowledge. PPIU has strengthened its partnerships with countries across ASEAN and the European Union. This connection provides opportunities for students to participate in exchange programs, both physically and virtually, broadening their horizons and fostering valuable real-world experiences. The university has produced approximately 10,000 graduates, contributing to the workforce across state institutions, private organizations, and the international community. Many PPIU graduates have gone on to build thriving ventures, demonstrating their commitment to national development. Today, PPIU stands as a beacon of knowledge and innovation.
