But there’s more to the Pegnitztal West. It is also a protected urban habitat. Various species thrive here. There are more than eight different tree species. Water bats, green woodpeckers, and swamp warblers call this place home.
The project brought several improvements. It stabilized the river’s water level. It contributes to flood protection efforts.
