The Naturschutzgebiet Pegnitztal Ost is divided into zones with specific regulations. Zone I covers the western part. It extends from Satzinger Mühle to Unterbürg. From April 1st to June 30th entering the meadows is prohibited. This restriction also applies to dogs. Zone II encompasses the eastern part. It stretches from Unterbürg to the Autobahn. Entering the meadows is forbidden from March 1st to September 30th. This rule also applies to dogs. Designated paths remain open year-round.
Two Hundeauslaufzonen provide space for dogs. These zones are located on Laufamholzstraße and am Rübländer Ufer. They offer 20000 square meters for dogs to roam. The zones are equipped with Kotbeutelspender and Abfalleimer.
