What does peace truly mean? Many associate it with the absence of war. But here at the Pattaya Rotary International Peace City, we delve deeper. Pattaya, declared a “Peace City” by the Rotary Club of Pattaya in 2006, explores a broader concept of peace. It’s about harmony within ourselves, with each other, and with the world around us. The Pattaya Rotary International Peace City embodies this understanding. It isn’t just a monument; it’s a commitment to a way of life. This ideal is beautifully captured in the children’s art project. Local children expressed their vision of peace through drawings, showcasing their understanding of this crucial value. The Rotary Club of Pattaya actively promotes peace within the community. They declared Pattaya a “City of Peace” back in 2004. The Peace Monument on Pratamnak Hill, built in 2006, stands as a symbol of this pledge.
