It’s a fascinating blend of nature, history, and urban design, stretching along the Manzanares River. From the bustling M-30 to the tranquil meeting of the Manzanares and Jarama rivers, Parque Lineal unfolds in three distinct sections. The first, a vibrant urban park, pulses with activity, featuring sports facilities and the striking “Caja Mágica.” This section, managed by Madrid’s city council, extends from the M-30’s South Interchange to the M-40’s Supersouth Interchange, nestled between the Usera and Puente de Vallecas districts. Beyond this lies the second section, a treasure trove of historical and ecological significance. Untamed and sprawling, it stretches from where the first section ends, bordering Villaverde and Villa de Vallecas, all the way to Madrid’s city limits. Imagine 250 hectares of fertile land, dotted with cultivated fields and gardens. This area seamlessly connects to the Regional Park of the Southeast, marking the beginning of the third section, also known as the Regional Park Section.
