What began as a repair unit blossomed into a manufacturing powerhouse. The Parel EMU Workshop even churned out locomotives for private companies, its name becoming synonymous with quality and efficiency. Sadly, all good things must come to an end. This iconic workshop was slated for closure to make way for a modern train terminus complex. The year was 2023.
