Isn’t it great to find such a giant park right in the city? We’re standing at Parc Giuseppe-Garibaldi. It is a true haven for relaxation and outdoor fun.

Parc Giuseppe-Garibaldi offers something for everyone. It is more than just green space. It’s a community hub with a wide range of activities.

Let’s start with sports. There is a baseball field, basketball court, and fields for soccer and football. Tennis courts are available for those who enjoy a good match. Fenced playing fields are open every day for practice. The times are from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

For those who prefer less strenuous activities, Parc Giuseppe-Garibaldi has you covered. Try your hand at ping pong on the permanent tables. Maybe you like bocce ball, or pétanque as it is also known? There are courts for that too.

During the winter months, the park transforms into a sledding paradise. A dedicated sledding hill provides hours of fun.

Families with young children will especially love Parc Giuseppe-Garibaldi. There are two play areas with equipment for different age groups. The toddler area features a Sensory Wave Climber. This is great for kids who want to crawl and explore. There is also a fish-themed music station with bongos and other instruments. Baby swings and a small play structure add to the fun.

The section for older kids has another new climber. It has ladders and puzzles. There is also an older climber with monkey rings and cables. Adult swings and a rope spinner round out the offerings.

Adjacent to the toddler playground is a splash pad. It’s open to the whole park, which is fantastic. Kids can run around the playground, cool off in the water, and then have a snack at the picnic tables. The splash pad hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Just touch the sensor to turn on the water.

If you’re looking to work out, you’re in luck. Parc Giuseppe-Garibaldi has outdoor fitness equipment. It’s located near the playground and picnic area. Walking trails wind through the park.

Need a break? There are tons of benches and small tables nearby.

The park also has a renovated wheelchair-accessible pavilion. Bathrooms are available inside. The opening hours should follow the park hours.

Parc Giuseppe-Garibaldi offers several amenities. These include bike stands, a drinking fountain, and free parking. There’s also accessible parking and signage.

Parc Giuseppe-Garibaldi is easily accessible by car. A convenient parking lot is located on Rue Liénart.

Parc Giuseppe-Garibaldi is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day. It’s a place where you can relax, enjoy nature, and engage in outdoor activities. Whether you’re into sports, playing with the kids, or just relaxing, this park has it all. It truly is a gem in Montreal.
