Swinging high above the wood chips. That’s the sound of Parc Dave Reid. A haven for children. Located in Montreal West. This vibrant park is more than just swings and slides. It’s a testament to community spirit. Named after Dave Reid. He was the Superintendent of the Legion Memorial Rink. From 1966 to 1980. His dedication shaped this space. Now it’s a place for families to gather.

Parc Dave Reid isn’t just any park. It’s a fully fenced and gated playground. Nestled next to tennis courts. Near Montreal-Ouest’s Public Works department. Everything is conveniently located in one area. The equipment is brand new. Made from fresh-smelling wood chips. It features Little Tikes Commercial products. This includes a climbing structure. Calvin the Caterpillar. His funky shoes and ladybug counting game are featured. There’s even a Stand N Spin spinner. A colourful Infinity Triple climber is also present. There is also a balance board skateboard.

The main climbing structure isn’t easy for little ones. It lacks stairs. The age range is marked as 18 months to 12 years. Even older children might struggle. Younger children can still enjoy the lower windows and ledges. They can also use the talk tubes. Believe me they work.

The playground sits at the end of Avenue Bedbrook. It’s across from the Legion Rink and Public Works. This is important. It is NOT at the end of Percival Avenue. Parking is available in front of the soccer fields.

Parc Dave Reid is a joyful place. Children’s laughter fills the air. The park offers more than just play equipment. It represents a dedication to the community. A legacy of fun and play for generations to come. The park’s vibrant colours and playful designs reflect its spirit. It’s a true gem. A vibrant hub of Montreal West. Come and see for yourself.
