“When death occurs emotional challenges overwhelm anyone”. Consider that sentiment as we stand here at Panteon de los olivos. It is more than a cemetery. It represents peace of mind for families.

Panteon de los olivos offers a serene final resting place. Pre-planning cemetery property is an act of love. It spares family members difficult decisions. It also avoids escalating costs and makes personal wishes known.

Beth Israel is connected to San Diego’s first Jewish cemetery dating from 1862. They can help arrange your plans. The Cemetery and Mausoleum Association provides Jewish burial space. This is for members and their extended families.

Mount of Olives Memorial Lawns is located at El Camino Memorial Park. The park combines rolling hills and grassy slopes. It offers a comforting burial place. Beth Israel owns burial space in two areas of the Park. They call them Mount of Olives Memorial Lawns I and II.

The first lawn opened in 1992. Spaces are no longer available there. Mt. of Olives II has been open since 1998. The park is open to all faiths. However, these lawns are consecrated Jewish burial space.

A polished granite memorial marker identifies each of the Lawns. A State supervised endowment fund assures proper perpetual care of the cemetery. Mount of Olives Memorial Lawns is located at 5600 Carroll Canyon Road.

Consider the Home of Peace Corridors at Cypress View Mausoleum. Above-ground mausoleum entombment has long been an option for Jewish burial. The Corridors were planned to meet the needs of Jewish families. They offer crypts at various levels. These include individual and companion arrangements.

For those deciding on cremation, niches for cremated remains are available. Adjacent to the crypts is the Sol Stone Memorial Chapel. It provides a private area for small funeral gatherings. Home of Peace Corridors is at 3952 Imperial Avenue.

There is also the Home of Peace Jewish Community Cemetery. It is operated by Am Israel Mortuary. Note that it is unrelated to Home of Peace Corridors.

El Camino Memorial Park offers a peaceful space. It has a gently sloping lawn with shade trees. There’s a view towards the memorial lake. The Chapel and other buildings are nearby. This coveted Lawn has had no vacancies for many years. It is a rare opportunity.

As you reflect here at Panteon de los olivos, remember its purpose. It is a place of remembrance. It is a testament to love and legacy. It provides solace.
