They meticulously reconstructed the palace retaining its original design. The architect Manuel Cabanyes was crucial in this endeavor. Today the Palacio de Liria is still inhabited. It is the private residence of the 19th Duke of Alba Carlos Fitz-James Stuart. Yet it also serves as the headquarters of the Casa de Alba Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to preserving the culture and heritage of the House of Alba.
