Remember David M Gonzales. The David M Gonzales Recreation Center originally opened as the Pacoima Recreation Center. This happened on June 1, 1950. The park was rededicated on June 1, 1990. This rededication included a plaque. The plaque honored David M Gonzales. He was a soldier in World War II. He died in the Battle of Luzon.
