The sacraments are celebrated here. It recalls the words of St Mungo. He said: Let Glasgow flourish by the preaching of thy Word. Let Glasgow flourish by the praising of thy name.

Communion from the chalice has been reintroduced. This happened after its absence during the COVID era. The words of Jesus are prayed in the Eucharistic Prayer. They take on renewed meaning. Take this all of you and drink from it. This is the cup of my blood. It is the blood of the new and eternal covenant. It will be poured out for you. It will be poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in memory of me. Receiving the precious blood reminds us of important teachings. It reminds us about the Eucharist. The totality of body blood soul and divinity are received. This happens in either or both species. Reverence is offered to the Blessed Sacrament.
Our Lady of Lourdes needs volunteers. They are needed for many areas of parish life. On big occasions maximize parking space. Drivers park facing the wall on the Mill Hill side of Lourdes Ave.
