Ever felt like Frankfurt’s skyline needed a twist? Let’s talk about the Omniturm.

The Omniturm stands tall at 190 meters. It is the sixth-tallest building in Frankfurt upon completion. Its name means “everyone” in Latin. This hints at its mixed use.

Completed in 2019, the Omniturm is not just another skyscraper. The Omniturm is located on Große Gallusstraße. It stands out due to its unique design and multifunctionality. Imagine five skyscrapers under construction simultaneously in Frankfurt. This happened during the Omniturm’s construction phase. That had never happened before in Frankfurt.

The Bjarke Ingels Group designed the Omni Tower. Its most striking feature is the “swing” halfway up. The spiral axis shift creates terraces for apartments between the 14th and 23rd floors. The residential area is offset by more than 5 meters.

The Omniturm houses offices, apartments, and public spaces. It has 43,850 square meters of office space. There are also 8,175 square meters of living space. Plus, there are 1,579 square meters of publicly accessible area.

The building’s lower part rises as a slender stack. The floorplates then spiral outwards. This section contains the residential units. The structure returns to a simple tower block above. It rejoins the orientation of the floors below.

The Omniturm has more than 54,100 square meters of leasable area. Around 44,200 square meters are flexible office space. 147 premium apartments take up 8,200 square meters.

Commerz Real purchased the Omniturm in 2018.

The Omniturm is the first skyscraper in Germany with real multi-use. It includes office, residential, and public areas. The foundation stone was laid in 2016.

More than 50 piles support the high-rise. They prevent groundwater inflow. The high-rise building offers efficient spaces. These meet the requirements of modern tenants.

The Omniturm aims to be a dynamic technology start-up center. It features creative office and co-working areas. There is also a cafeteria and event hall. Other facilities include community areas and bicycle parking.

The “hip swing” was a key design challenge. The 15th to 22nd floors cantilever up to 5 meters. This created terraces for the living space. The tower’s interior function is visible in its exterior design.

Stepping onto an Omniturm apartment balcony evokes a New York vibe.

The Omniturm stands as a testament to innovative design. It also represents efficient urban planning. It is a place where work, life, and public space merge. The Omniturm is a new landmark in Frankfurt’s skyline.
