In 2017, Morocco launched the African Alliance for the Development of Vocational Training. This happened during the International Agricultural Show in Meknes. Fifteen African countries joined Morocco. They aimed to boost human capital through vocational training. Now, 23 countries are members. OFPPT ensures the alliance’s success and expansion.
Since 2002, OFPPT has signed many cooperation agreements. These agreements aim to upgrade training systems in Africa. OFPPT has trained over 400 trainers and managers. It has also provided initial training to over 2,000 young African trainees. OFPPT offers technical help. It assists in setting up vocational training centers. These centers are in Mali, Gabon, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Senegal, Madagascar, and Nigeria. The focus is on construction, hotels, entrepreneurship, and more.

In December 2016, USAID Morocco opened its first vocational training Career Center in Casablanca. It is located within the Specialized Institute for Applied Technology, ISTA, Hay Hassani I of OFPPT. This Career Center helps young people transition from education to employment. It offers career orientation and work readiness workshops.
Daikin, a global leader in air conditioning, partners with OFPPT. Together, they strengthen the Refrigeration and Thermal Engineering program. They design advanced training, update curricula, and offer exchange programs. Daikin also provides internships within its network.
