The road was previously named Werner-Jansen-Weg. This changed because of Werner Jansen’s Nazi past. The Lüneburg Cultural Committee decided on the renaming.

Ochtmissen provides great infrastructure. The A 39 motorway is easily accessible via the Lüneburg-Nord junction. The Lehrte–Hamburg-Harburg railway line runs parallel to the motorway. Fresh bread rolls and vegetables are available in the village café and farm shop. The bus stop is a 3-minute walk from the park district.
