Established in 1966 Novi High School opened its doors to students. It wasn’t always located where it stands today. The first Novi High School resided in a building later known as Novi Meadows school. Imagine a much smaller school serving a rural community. That building served students until 1968. Novi experienced explosive growth. The original high school quickly became too small. The current Novi High School building opened in 1977. It stands on land that was once part of the Fuerst family farm. This impressive building has undergone numerous renovations. The most significant took place between 1993 and 1996. This expansion increased the school’s capacity by 40%. New science labs a telecommunications system and a fine arts complex were added. Another major renovation and expansion followed a successful bond proposal in 2001. This upgrade included an expanded cafeteria an updated auditorium and a brand-new fine arts wing. This wing boasts a choir room a black box theater and a dance studio. Novi High School’s impact extends far beyond its walls. It’s a hub for adult education and community events. You can often find community members swimming in the pool or enjoying basketball games in the fieldhouse. Novi High School proudly boasts notable alumni. Dr Sanjay Gupta a renowned brain surgeon served as a presidential medical advisor and is CNN’s chief medical correspondent. He is just one example of the many successful individuals who walked these halls. From Olympic athletes to successful entrepreneurs Novi High School has played a vital role in shaping the lives and careers of countless individuals. As you stand before Novi High School picture its evolution. From its humble beginnings in a smaller building to its current impressive size. It’s a testament to the growth of the community it serves and a beacon of academic excellence.
