The heaviest boulder weighs an impressive 20 tons. Look closely and you’ll notice a series of metal wedges connecting the stones. These wedges, according to Charrièrre, symbolize the sometimes rocky path from research to application. They represent the obstacles and unexpected turns that scientists often encounter on their quest for knowledge.
